Raffles Place was turned into a massive playground just two days back, with National Parks Board transplanting refurbished old playground “play equipment” (CNA’s term, not ours) right in the heart of the city. This was part of their exhibition showcasing 50 years of park development in Singapore, and during lunchtime, you can see office workers sitting by the park benches having lunch or taking in the sights. The playground, fortunately or unfortunately, remains the domain of children when we were there.
