As a young swordsman, you set off on the trail of glory and honour looking for opportunities to display your valour. In order to reach the top and remain there, you will have to go thru series of trainings and challenges. By defeating foes, gaining ranks and gradually improves the quality of your opponents you will be able to have enough renown to be invited to one of these rare and secret taikai (tournament). If you manage to win one of these, you will be able to unlock a special enhancement bonus points. Gekisen plays and feel a lil like magic the gathering but faster and a bit more lethal. You have life points, armour, attack and other values, by playing cards turn by turn, each opponents tries to defeat each others in a combat of wits and strategy using a wide array of cards and special moves.
