وردل (Wordle) هي لعبة كلمات طورها مهندس البرمجيات جوش واردل (Josh Wardle)، الموظف السابق في موقع ريديت (Reddit). يحاول اللاعبون في هذه اللعبة تخمين كلمة مكونة من خمسة حروف محددة سلفا ً وتتغير كل يوم. تقدم اللعبة تغذية راجعة على شكل خانات ملونة، لتحديد مدى الاقتراب من الكلمة الصحيحة. طوّر واردل اللعبة له ولشريكته، وقام باتاحتها للعامة في أكتوبر ٢٠٢١. اكتسبت اللعبة شعبية كبيرة في ديسمبر ٢٠٢١ بعدما أتاح واردل إمكانية نسخ نتيجتهم اليومية عبر مربعات ملونة شاعت مشاركتها عبر تويتر. تم تطوير العديد من النسخ المتشابهة والمختلفة من اللعبة وباستخدام مختلف اللغات بجانب الانجليزية. تم شراء اللعبة من قبل شركة نيويورك تايمز (New York Times Company) في يناير ٢٠٢٢، مقابل مبلغ لم يتم الإعلان عنه (مكون من ٧ خانات)، وتبقى الخطة أن تتاح اللعبة بالمجان لكل زوار الموقع.

What is Play together?
Play together lets you co-play the same game with friends in real time. Open a game room and everyone can play side by side while chatting in the room — like crowding around one screen, online.
How do I play with friends?
Tap “Play together” on a game page, pick a public room or a private one with a password, then share the room link with friends. You can also browse and join open rooms from the Lobby.
