For hitting you can choose one of four quarters of the strike zone to try and guess the location of the upcoming pitch. If you are right you have a better chance of making good contact with the ball.<br /><br />Unlike its Saturn predecessor <a href="/world-series-baseball-ii/3030-33005/" data-ref-id="3030-33005">World Series Baseball II</a>, WSB 98 was not released in Japan, making it one of the very few US-exclusive Saturn titles. The Saturn version, though it shares the same name as the Genesis/Mega Drive game, was developed independently of that title by Sega Sports and is largely a different game.</p>
