The second game in the Kyūkyoku Harikiri series turns up the speed of the action on the field. Everything now run faster compared to the first game. The game camera will now zoom in on certain field actions. Players' RBI and ERA stats will now update as you play through a league instead of remaining fixed stats. A new feature introduced in this entry is the influence of wind. Whenever you play in an outdoor stadium, the ball will be influenced by the wind, the strength and direction of which can be observed via the flags above the scoreboard, which you get a view of every inning. Unlike the previous entry, the Heisei Gannen Ban cartridge no longer has a battery save and you have to resume your league progress with passwords.
