The couple legally tie the knot when the marriage certificate is signed by them, two other witnesses and by a state approved solemnizer. The marriage is sealed by the exchange of wedding rings and with a kiss in front of cheering family and friends. There are several full time solemnizers in Singapore performing the duty of marrying couples. They often run around the country solemnizing as many as 4 couples a day.
