The GB version was originally released in Japan on September 5, 1989 as <em>Mickey Mouse</em>, featuring <a href="/mickey-mouse/3005-2363/" data-ref-id="3005-2363">the cartoon mouse of the same name</a>. European regions only received the GB "Bugs Bunny" version.</p><p>It is the first game in the <a href="/crazy-castle/3025-2426/" data-ref-id="3025-2426">Crazy Castle</a> series and features <a href="/looney-tunes/3025-714/" data-ref-id="3025-714">Looney Tunes</a> <a href="/cartoon-character/3015-2164/" data-ref-id="3015-2164">cartoon</a> <a href="/rabbit/3015-2266/" data-ref-id="3015-2266">rabbit</a> <a href="/bugs-bunny/3005-3896/" data-ref-id="3005-3896">Bugs Bunny</a>, who must journey through a crazy castle to rescue <a href="/honey-bunny/3005-32710/" data-ref-id="3005-32710">Honey Bunny</a> from a variety of other Looney Tunes cartoon characters (including <a href="/daffy-duck/3005-3899/" data-ref-id="3005-3899">Daffy Duck</a>, <a href="/yosemite-sam/3005-7275/" data-ref-id="3005-7275">Yosemite Sam</a>, <a href="/wile-e-coyote/3005-6701/" data-ref-id="3005-6701">Wile E. Similar to <a href="/lode-runner/3025-479/" data-ref-id="3025-479">Lode Runner</a>, Bugs cannot jump and must use careful pathing and unique items to bypass enemies and collect all the carrots on each level.</p><p>The GB "Bugs Bunny" version was later bundled in a single cartridge with <a href="/the-bugs-bunny-crazy-castle-ii/3030-569/" data-ref-id="3030-569">The Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle II</a> in Japan on December 19, 1997 as <em>Bugs Bunny Collection</em>. This version is unique as it supports the <a href="/super-game-boy-enhancement/3015-4804/" data-ref-id="3015-4804">Super Game Boy</a> with unique borders.</p><h2>Gameplay</h2><p>Players take control of <a href="/bugs-bunny/3005-3896/" data-ref-id="3005-3896">Bugs Bunny</a>. In each of the sixty or so levels in the Crazy Castle, Bugs must collect all of the carrots in each stage before moving on to the next. Standing in Bugs's way are fellow <a href="/looney-tunes/3025-714/" data-ref-id="3025-714">Looney Tunes</a> characters <a href="/yosemite-sam/3005-7275/" data-ref-id="3005-7275">Yosemite Sam</a>, <a href="/sylvester/3005-4541/" data-ref-id="3005-4541">Sylvester</a>, and <a href="/daffy-duck/3005-3899/" data-ref-id="3005-3899">Daffy Duck</a>, who wander around the stage and attempt to catch him.</p><p>The player can defeat enemies by either hitting them with a boxing glove power-up or by dropping a weight, such as a flower pot, onto their head. There is also a power-up that can make Bugs invincible for a short period of time, and he is also invulnerable while being transported through a pipe or moving through a doorway. One thing that Bugs cannot do, however, is jump.</p>
