<h2>Overview</h2><p>Greatest Heavyweights is a Sega Genesis-exclusive boxing simulation game and the sequel to <a href="/evander-holyfields-real-deal-boxing/3030-1260/" data-ref-id="3030-1260">Evander Holyfield's "Real Deal" Boxing</a>. Unlike the first game, players could now choose among a number of legendary heavyweight boxers from past and present, including Holyfield, in the game. The core game is the same—it still has the concept of big 2D sprites in a 3D rotational ring—only the game now has more modes. Instead of just a career mode, the game also has a tournament mode where the player can pick a legendary boxer and see if they can defeat the other legendary boxers in the game.</p><p>Fighters in the game include: <a href="/muhammad-ali/3040-68700/" data-ref-id="3040-68700">Muhammad Ali</a>, <a href="/evander-holyfield/3040-3611/" data-ref-id="3040-3611">Evander Holyfield</a>, Floyd Patterson, Rocky Marciano, Larry Holmes, Joe Frazier, Jack Dempsey, and Joe Louis. There's also a moderate number of fictional boxers with lesser stats, in case the player chooses to support an underdog.</p>
