Hey there. I am Karsten, a self-educated computer graphics specialist, adventurer and philanthropist. Considering the content of this website, it might not come as a surprise to you that I am also a major science-fiction-space nerd. I've created this generative universe as a spare-time project - a mere experiment in the first place - to see if I can generate planets in realtime-3D using my goto WebGL engine PlayCanvas. Things escalated quickly. The next thing I knew, I was working on generative suns and a 'galactic medium'. Started to think about gas giants and a variety of cold hot, and habitable rock planets - so yeah. Why not create planetary systems? A universe? And you know what? In my universe, there is nothing like a Fermi Paradox. They're all there! Black holes, KIII civilizations, Dyson spheres - you name it. Basically just a complicated way of building my very own little model train world. Nevertheless, it expresses how deeply awestruck I am every time I look at the night sky.
