<h2>Overview</h2><p data-right-indent="0" data-left-indent="0">Duke Nukem Advance is a first-person shooter developed by <a href="/torus-games-pty-ltd/3010-213/" data-ref-id="3010-213">Torus</a> and published by <a href="/take-two-interactive-software-inc/3010-450/" data-ref-id="3010-450">Take-Two Interactive</a> for the <a href="/game-boy-advance/3045-4/" data-ref-id="3045-4">Game Boy Advance</a> on August 12, 2002. Although some of the graphics and sounds come from <a href="/duke-nukem-3d/3030-3407/" data-ref-id="3030-3407">Duke Nukem 3D</a>, much of the game's content was developed just for this game, including a new storyline that takes titular action hero <a href="/duke-nukem/3005-656/" data-ref-id="3005-656">Duke Nukem</a> through <a href="/area-51/3035-202/" data-ref-id="3035-202">Area 51</a>, <a href="/egypt/3035-878/" data-ref-id="3035-878">Egyptian</a> temples, <a href="/sydney/3035-1455/" data-ref-id="3035-1455">Sydney</a>, and an orbiting alien spaceship, in order to find and exterminate the alien menace.</p><p data-right-indent="0" data-left-indent="0">The game also features multi-link multiplayer for up to four players in the traditional <a href="/deathmatch/3015-451/" data-ref-id="3015-451">deathmatch</a> mode (known as Dukematch).</p>
