<h2>Overview</h2><p>Shien's Revenge (JP: Shien: The Blade Chaser) is an on-rails ninja action game developed by <a href="/almanic-corp/3010-2438/" data-ref-id="3010-2438">Almanic Corp.</a> and published by <a href="/vic-tokai-inc/3010-643/" data-ref-id="3010-643">Vic Tokai</a> for the <a href="/snes/3045-9/" data-ref-id="3045-9">SNES</a> platform.</p><p>The game is depicted entirely from first-person, with various enemy ninjas running around in the distance and occasionally dropping close for melee attacks. The player can use shurikens, which are thrown in the direction of the player's cursor, or their kunai which follows the cursor around the screen and injures any nearby enemy it touches. With this combination of close-quarters and ranged combat, the player must mow down the enemy hordes before they whittle away their health (depicted as candles, similar to the <a href="/genpei-touma-den/3025-2449/" data-ref-id="3025-2449">Genpei Touma Den</a> games).</p><p>Shien's Revenge supports the use of the <a href="/snes-mouse/3000-19/" data-ref-id="3000-19">SNES Mouse</a> and SNES light-gun peripherals.</p>
