In the first entry of Capcom's mahjong series bearing the name and endorsement of professional mahjong player Yōsuke Ide, you are presented with 3 modes: 1-off match with various customizable house rules, tournament mode where you play a series of matches against the AI and quiz mode where you are presented a situation and asked to discard one tile. The Famicom version of the game comes with a dedicated controller, which is a requirement to play it.
