<h2>Overview</h2><p>True Golf Classics: Pebble Beach Golf Links (known in Japan as <em>New 3D Golf Simulation: Pebble Beach no Hatou</em>) is a behind-the-back golf simulation game developed and published by <a href="https://www.giantbomb.com/te-soft-inc/3010-267/" data-ref-id="3010-267">T&amp;E Soft</a> for the <a href="https://www.giantbomb.com/nec-pc-9801/3045-112/" data-ref-id="3045-112">PC-98</a> (exclusively in Japan) and the <a href="https://www.giantbomb.com/super-nintendo-entertainment-system/3045-9/" data-ref-id="3045-9">Super Nintendo Entertainment System</a> (in both North America and Japan) on April 1992.</p><p>The fifth game in the <a href="https://www.giantbomb.com/true-golf-classics/3025-3006/" data-ref-id="3025-3006">True Golf Classics / New 3D Golf Simulation</a> series, Pebble Beach Golf Links takes place at <a href="/pebble-beach-golf-links/3035-3033/" data-ref-id="3035-3033">the golf course of the same name</a> (located in the western coastal <a href="/the-united-states-of-america/3035-396/" data-ref-id="3035-396">U.S. state</a> of <a href="/california/3035-1719/" data-ref-id="3035-1719">California</a>). It is the final game of the original PC-98 series to take place on a recreation of a real-life course (with <a href="/true-golf-classics-wicked-18/3030-41248/" data-ref-id="3030-41248">its final game</a> taking place on a fantasy course).</p><p>It was later ported to the <a href="/genesis/3045-6/" data-ref-id="3045-6">Sega Genesis</a> in 1993, and is the only Genesis port in the series to receive a release outside of Japan. The game also received <a href="/pebble-beach-golf-links/3030-3325/" data-ref-id="3030-3325">a remake for both the 3DO and Sega Saturn</a>.</p>
