<h2>Overview</h2><p>Janou Touryuumon is a mahjong game that was originally released on the NEC PC-98 platform in 1991 as Janou Touryuumon II, the second part of a series created by Game Arts. When Sega ported the game to Sega Mega Drive in 1993 they elided the numeral to avoid confusion.</p><p>The Mega Drive version preserves much of the original game's content, including the OS-style menus, and offers multiple modes to teach players the ins and outs of the game on a professional level. It uses digitized photos of mahjong players who act as instructors.</p>
