College Hoops is a basketball game developed and published by <a href="/time-warner-interactive-inc/3010-468/" data-ref-id="3010-468">Time Warner Interactive</a> for the <a href="/genesis/3045-6/" data-ref-id="3045-6">Sega Genesis</a> in 1994.</p><p>The sole basketball game from the studio behind the <a href="/rbi-baseball/3025-408/" data-ref-id="3025-408">R.B.I. Baseball</a> series, College Hoops brings college basketball to the Sega Genesis, along with voice commentary by former coach and sportscaster <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dick_Vitale" data-target="true" target="_blank" rel="noopener nofollow">Dick Vitale</a>. While focusing on college basketball, it does not feature teams, players and leagues from the <a href="/ncaa-basketball/3025-2789/" data-ref-id="3025-2789">National Collegiate Athletic Association</a>, instead having fictional <a href="/the-united-states-of-america/3035-396/" data-ref-id="3035-396">state</a> teams.</p><p>Similar to the <a href="/super-nintendo-entertainment-system/3045-9/" data-ref-id="3045-9">SNES</a> <a href="/mode-7/3015-184/" data-ref-id="3015-184">Mode 7</a> game <a href="/ncaa-basketball/3030-20007/" data-ref-id="3030-20007">NCAA Basketball</a>, College Hoops features a dynamic 3D rotating camera that's positioned behind the ball (and the athlete controlling it) and focused on the intended goal basket. The game features real offensive and defensive plays designed by Dick Vitale, customizable teams (with several different types of player attributes), numerous options and difficulty settings (including the ability to turn off fouls), and a bonus two-on-two mode.</p>
