A <a href="/genesis/3045-6/" data-ref-id="3045-6">Genesis</a> version was developed and reviewed, but was cancelled prior to release.</p><p>The second game based on the in-universe "The Itchy &amp; Scratchy Show" cartoon from the <a href="https://www.giantbomb.com/games-based-on-television-shows/3015-9602/" data-ref-id="3015-9602">animated sitcom</a> <a href="/the-simpsons/3025-283/" data-ref-id="3025-283">The Simpsons</a> (after <a href="/itchy-scratchy-in-miniature-golf-madness/3030-3911/" data-ref-id="3030-3911">Itchy &amp; Scratchy in Miniature Golf Madness</a>), The Itchy &amp; Scratchy Game puts players in control of the violent cartoon rat <a href="/itchy/3005-7377/" data-ref-id="3005-7377">Itchy</a> as he uses a variety of weapons find and harm the antagonistic cartoon cat <a href="/scratchy/3005-7378/" data-ref-id="3005-7378">Scratchy</a>.</p>
