<h2>Overview</h2><p>Battle Master, or Battlemaster, is a single-player action-strategy game set in a fantasy world where the protagonist, and a group of friendly troops, must conquer a map from the forces of evil, collect four elemental crowns, and fulfil a long-forgotten prophecy that will restore peace to the kingdom. It was first launched on home computers of the era before being ported to the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive.</p><p>Players select a new area on the overworld map and then traverse these battle zones via a top-down perspective, fighting enemy units along the way. A zone is "cleared" once most of the enemy combatants have been defeated, with tougher enemy types emerging the further the player gets into the game. AI companions follow closely behind the player, and can be placed in rough formations to suit the current environment (a bridge crossing, for instance).</p>
