The objective is to reach the Goal Post at the end of the level, while using collected Gems to free captive Grooleans from Bozo Domes (50 per Dome) for bonus points (and the chance to reach bonus levels).</p><p>Once Bubble finds his buddy Squeak, the AI-controlled Squeak can either stay in place or try to follow Bubble around, which can be changed at-will (using the C button in the Genesis version). While stopped, Squeak can help Bubble reach great heights when he's stopped (by standing near him and pressing the D-Pad upward in the Genesis version), and Bubble can kick Squeak (using the A button in the Genesis version) into a fast forward roll (even rolling around slopes, curves, and loops).</p><figure data-align="right" data-size="small" data-img-src="https://www.giantbomb.com/a/uploads/original/3/33529/1164787-gfs_38834_2_8.jpg" data-ref-id="1300-1164787" data-ratio="0.75" data-width="460" data-embed-type="image" style="width: 460px"><a class="fluid-height" style="padding-bottom:75.0%" href="https://www.giantbomb.com/a/uploads/original/3/33529/1164787-gfs_38834_2_8.jpg" data-ref-id="1300-1164787"><img alt="No Caption Provided" src="data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==" sizes="(max-width: 320px) 100vw, 320px" data-width="320" class="js-lazy-load-image" data-src="https://www.giantbomb.com/a/uploads/scale_small/3/33529/1164787-gfs_38834_2_8.jpg" data-srcset="https://www.giantbomb.com/a/uploads/original/3/33529/1164787-gfs_38834_2_8.jpg 460w, https://www.giantbomb.com/a/uploads/scale_small/3/33529/1164787-gfs_38834_2_8.jpg 320w"><noscript><img alt="No Caption Provided" src="https://www.giantbomb.com/a/uploads/scale_small/3/33529/1164787-gfs_38834_2_8.jpg" srcset="https://www.giantbomb.com/a/uploads/original/3/33529/1164787-gfs_38834_2_8.jpg 460w, https://www.giantbomb.com/a/uploads/scale_small/3/33529/1164787-gfs_38834_2_8.jpg 320w" sizes="(max-width: 320px) 100vw, 320px" data-width="320"></noscript></a></figure><p>By collecting coins, Bubble can buy magic <a href="/bubblegum/3055-3166/" data-ref-id="3055-3166">gumballs</a> at special machines to feed Squeak, allowing Bubble to ride on his back (similar to <a href="/yoshi/3015-4560/" data-ref-id="3015-4560">Yoshi</a> from <a href="/super-mario-world/3030-1334/" data-ref-id="3030-1334">Super Mario World</a>) with faster movement, higher jumps, and the ability to squash enemies <a href="/stomp/3015-368/" data-ref-id="3015-368">by jumping on them</a>.
