<h2>Overview</h2><p>True Golf Classics: Waialae Country Club (known in Japan as <em>New 3D Golf Simulation: Waialae no Kiseki</em>) is a behind-the-back golf simulation game developed and published by <a href="https://www.giantbomb.com/te-soft-inc/3010-267/" data-ref-id="3010-267">T&amp;E Soft</a> for the <a href="https://www.giantbomb.com/nec-pc-9801/3045-112/" data-ref-id="3045-112">PC-98</a> (exclusively in Japan) on September 1991 and for the <a href="/super-nintendo-entertainment-system/3045-9/" data-ref-id="3045-9">Super Nintendo Entertainment System</a> in both North America (on November 1991) and Japan (on September 18, 1992).</p><p>The fourth game in the <a href="/true-golf-classics/3025-3006/" data-ref-id="3025-3006">True Golf Classics / New 3D Golf Simulation</a> series (and the first released outside of Japan), Waialae Country Club takes place at <a href="/waialae-country-club/3035-3668/" data-ref-id="3035-3668">the prestigious country club of the same name</a> (located in the <a href="/the-united-states-of-america/3035-396/" data-ref-id="3035-396">U.S. state</a> of <a href="/hawaii/3035-1298/" data-ref-id="3035-1298">Hawaii</a>). It is the first game in the series to receive a release outside of Japan (albeit the console version only).</p><p>It was later ported to the <a href="/genesis/3045-6/" data-ref-id="3045-6">Sega Mega Drive</a>, exclusively in Japan, on February 25, 1994. The game was also remade twice: once for the 3DO and <a href="/waialae-country-club-true-golf-classics/3030-22798/" data-ref-id="3030-22798">once for the Nintendo 64</a>.</p><p>While the game was new, the SNES version released in North America had a sweepstakes card you could send in and win a trip to Hawaii. This card is worth some money now.</p>
