The adventure of former daimyō Tokugawa Mitsukuni goes international in this sequel to Tenka no Goikenban. The villain from the first game had fled Japan, but Tokugawa does not give up the chase. Forget what you know about history, in this game, Tokugawa will visit an America which has formed an Union, a Germany and Italy independent from the Holy Roman Empire, colonial India, mainland China and a charted Hawai'i island, all within Tokugawa's lifetime. Each of these locations is a stage to solve by gathering evidences. While the basic gameplay remains fundamentally the same as the previous game, there are still some significant changes in this sequel. Each stage now has a deadline for you to solve. You can no longer move on leaving a case unsolved. Failing to meet the deadline will result in an instant game over. A new action you can do in your investigation is presenting evidence to NPC. The game now resets your inventory and money when you complete a stage, but you still keep your score and health upgrades.
