Lily Pad Pond is a lively, animated storybook that tells the tale of two young tadpoles named Tilly and Polly. Tilly wants nothing more than to frolic and play in the pond with her best friend, Polly, and has no interest whatsoever in becoming a frog. Ew! Polly, however, is excited for all the new adventures that await them when their inevitable metamorphosis occurs. Can Tilly learn to accept change, despite its mysteries, and come to understand that new and different doesn’t have to mean scary? After all, some things may change, but friendship can last forever! Lily Pad Pond is a great story for PreK to second-grade reading levels as students can choose to have the story narrated for them, or they can read it to themselves.
