<h2>Overview</h2><p>Shui Hu Feng Yun Zhuan (水湖風雲傳) is an unlicensed Taiwanese side-scrolling beat 'em up developed by <a href="//www.giantbomb.com/never-ending-soft-team/3010-8908/" data-ref-id="3010-8908">Never Ending Soft</a> and published by <a href="//www.giantbomb.com/king-tec-information-co-ltd/3010-8907/" data-ref-id="3010-8907">King Tec Information</a> in 1996 for the <a href="//www.giantbomb.com/genesis/3045-6/" data-ref-id="3045-6">Mega Drive</a>. The game was later re-released in China with an altered copyright date on the title screen, 1999 instead of 1996, which is the version commonly found on the internet.</p><h2>Western Release</h2><p>It was announced in February of 2015 that <a href="/piko-interactive-llc/3010-9429/" data-ref-id="3010-9429">Piko Interactive</a> would be releasing the game for a western market as <em>Water Margin: The Tales of Clouds and Winds</em>, with the stolen assets in the original replaced, plus some bug fixes.</p>
