<h2>Overview</h2><p>Jack Nicklaus' Power Challenge Golf is a 1993 entry in Accolade's <a href="/jack-nicklaus/3025-4005/" data-ref-id="3025-4005">Jack Nicklaus</a> series of golf sims that was released exclusively for the North American Sega Genesis and European/Australian Sega Mega Drive, and features the titular American golfer also known as the Golden Bear. The game is based on the 1992 PC game <a href="/jack-nicklaus-golf-course-design-signature-edition/3030-12459/" data-ref-id="3030-12459">Jack Nicklaus Golf &amp; Course Design: Signature Edition</a>, but strips out the course creation toolset for the sake of an additional course: Baltusrol Golf Club in New Jersey, which is where the US Open was staged that year. It joins the English Turn and Sherwood County Club courses already in the game.</p><p>As with other games in the franchise, Power Challenge Golf has a heavy sim aspect as the player approaches each hole from a behind-the-golfer perspective. Jack Nicklaus himself shows up to give the player hints on how to tackle each hole before it starts. It features both stroke play and skins.</p>
