<h2>Overview</h2><p>Mahoujin GuruGuru ("Spinning Magic Circle") is an RPG for the Super Famicom and Game Boy developed by <a href="/tamtam/3010-4805/" data-ref-id="3010-4805">TamTam</a>. The game is based on an anime series of the same name that was itself written and presented as a <a href="/parody/3015-2098/" data-ref-id="3015-2098">parody</a> of standard Japanese RPG tropes of its era.</p><p>It was followed by <a href="/mahoujin-guruguru-2/3030-19676/" data-ref-id="3030-19676">Mahoujin GuruGuru 2</a>, a 1996 Super Famicom sequel, and the GBC game Doki Doki Densetsu: Mahoujin GuruGuru. </p>
