<h2>Overview</h2><p>Released for the <a data-ref-id="3045-37" href="/dreamcast/3045-37/" slug="dreamcast">Dreamcast</a>, <a data-ref-id="3045-19" href="/playstation-2/3045-19/" slug="playstation-2">PlayStation 2</a>, <a data-ref-id="3045-57" href="/game-boy-color/3045-57/" slug="game-boy-color">Game Boy Color</a>, and <a data-ref-id="3045-22" href="/playstation/3045-22/" slug="playstation">PlayStation</a> in 2001, this sequel to <a data-ref-id="3030-4632" href="/nba-showtime-nba-on-nbc/3030-4632/" slug="nba-showtime-nba-on-nbc">NBA Showtime: NBA on NBC</a> altered the long-held Midway basketball format of a 2-on-2 game to 3-on-3. This was the final game in the "NBA Jam style" series of Midway titles. The next basketball game Midway released was the significantly different (although still "arcadey") <a data-ref-id="3030-9938" href="/nba-ballers/3030-9938/" slug="nba-ballers">NBA Ballers</a> in 2004.</p>
