It was later published by <a href="/thq/3010-15/" data-ref-id="3010-15">THQ</a> in Europe on February 15, 2002.</p><p>A traditional first-person shooter in the style of <a href="/doom/3030-7326/" data-ref-id="3030-7326">Doom</a>, Dark Arena takes place in future 2146 inside the United Arms Organization top-secret training facility "Dark Arena". When Genetically Engineered Organisms (GEOs) used for training break free and overrun the facility, players attempt to control the situation as special ops leader Angelina Bradshaw.</p><p>Along with a 15-level single-player campaign, the game supports linked multiplayer, with <a href="/deathmatch/3015-451/" data-ref-id="3015-451">deathmatch</a> for up to four players at a time.
