<h2>Overview</h2><p>Musha Aleste: Full Metal Fighter Ellinor is a Genesis-exclusive entry in Compile's <a href="/aleste/3025-1466/" data-ref-id="3025-1466">Aleste</a> series of shoot 'em ups. It was renamed M.U.S.H.A. for its international release, which stands for Metallic Uniframe Super Hybrid Armor.</p><p>M.U.S.H.A. was released in 1990 on the <a href="/sega/3010-62/" data-ref-id="3010-62">Sega</a> <a href="/genesis/3045-6/" data-ref-id="3045-6">Genesis</a>, developed by <a href="/compile/3010-911/" data-ref-id="3010-911">Compile</a> and published by <a href="/seismic-software-inc/3010-1140/" data-ref-id="3010-1140">Seismic</a> in the United States and <a href="/toaplan-co-ltd/3010-3187/" data-ref-id="3010-3187">Toaplan</a> in Japan. It was later released on the Wii's Virtual Console in 2008/09 by Naxat Soft (Japan) and Sega (everywhere else), which was also its European/Australian debut. </p><p>M.U.S.H.A. features a ship that is capable of transforming into a mecha, piloted by Terri (Ellinor in the Japanese version), and can power up its weapons and acquire drone-like <a href="/option/3055-205/" data-ref-id="3055-205">options</a> by collecting power chips from fallen foes. While it failed to make an impression at launch due to a deluge of Genesis shoot 'em ups at the time, it eventually became a cult hit with genre fans and remains very popular today. M.U.S.H.A. is currently one of the most expensive and rare Sega Genesis games, selling at an average price of $70 to $200 depending on quality and completeness.</p>
