<h2>Overview</h2><p>Boggle Plus is a <a href="https://www.giantbomb.com/word-search-puzzle/3015-8690/" data-ref-id="3015-8690">word-finding</a> puzzle game developed by <a href="/acclaim-studios-salt-lake-city/3010-1301/" data-ref-id="3010-1301">Sculptured Software</a> published by <a href="/parker-brothers/3010-801/" data-ref-id="3010-801">Parker Brothers</a> for the <a href="/game-boy/3045-3/" data-ref-id="3045-3">Game Boy</a> in North America on February 1992.</p><p>The first official adaptation of the real-life word game <a href="https://www.giantbomb.com/boggle/3025-2285/" data-ref-id="3025-2285">Boggle</a>, Boggle Plus includes both the Boggle and Big Boggle variants along with three unique variations (one involving unscrambling an anagram, one involving finding words from a category, and one involving clearing the board).</p><p>Along with single-player, this game can be played either against CPU opponents or against another player, either turn-based on the same handheld or real-time linked with another handheld.</p><h2>Game Modes</h2><p>There are five game modes to choose from, which can be played either in Single Play or Tournament modes, some of which having three difficulties to choose from (Easy, Medium, and Hard).</p><ul><li><strong>Boggle</strong> gives players three minutes to find words of three-or-more letters from a 4×4 grid of letter cubes, where each letter cube after the first has to be adjacent to the one before it (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal) and is not the same as any previously-used cube.</li></ul><ul><li><strong>Big Boggle</strong> instead tasks players with finding words of four-or-more letters from a 5×5 grid of letter cubes.</li></ul><ul><li><strong>Anagram</strong> gives players a 5×5 grid that is only partially filled, and must find the unscrambled word making use of all the letters. After finding the word, the grid resets for a new word. There are three difficulties to choose from, with harder difficulties starting with longer and more difficult words.</li></ul><ul><li><strong>Categories</strong> gives players a 6×6 grid that is only partially filled, and must find a selection of words matching the given category. This mode cannot be played with CPU opponents and there are three difficulties to choose from, with harder difficulties starting with more complex categories.</li></ul><ul><li><strong>Use All</strong> tasks players with clearing the 5×5 grid by making words, with each letter cube in the word being cleared from the board. Players can scramble the cubes on the board, although they will get less points the more often they do it. This mode cannot be played with CPU opponents.</li></ul>
