<h2>Overview</h2><figure data-align="right" data-size="small" data-img-src="https://www.giantbomb.com/a/uploads/original/0/4938/492486-30977_5_2.jpg" data-ref-id="1300-492486" data-ratio="0.7" data-width="570" data-embed-type="image" style="width: 570px"><a class="fluid-height" style="padding-bottom:70.0%" href="https://www.giantbomb.com/a/uploads/original/0/4938/492486-30977_5_2.jpg" data-ref-id="1300-492486"><img alt="No Caption Provided" src="https://www.giantbomb.com/a/uploads/original/0/4938/492486-30977_5_2.jpg" srcset="https://www.giantbomb.com/a/uploads/original/0/4938/492486-30977_5_2.jpg 570w, https://www.giantbomb.com/a/uploads/scale_medium/0/4938/492486-30977_5_2.jpg 480w" sizes="(max-width: 570px) 100vw, 570px" data-width="570"></a></figure><p>Disney's Extreme Skate Adventure is a <a href="/skateboarding/3015-13289/" data-ref-id="3015-13289">skateboarding</a> game developed by <a href="/toys-for-bob/3010-1567/" data-ref-id="3010-1567">Toys for Bob</a> and published by <a href="/activision/3010-78/" data-ref-id="3010-78">Activision</a> for the <a href="/playstation-2/3045-19/" data-ref-id="3045-19">PlayStation 2</a>, <a href="/gamecube/3045-23/" data-ref-id="3045-23">GameCube</a>, and <a href="/xbox/3045-32/" data-ref-id="3045-32">Xbox</a> on September 3, 2003.</p><p>Using the same game engine as <a href="/neversoft-entertainment/3010-1442/" data-ref-id="3010-1442">Neversoft's</a> <a href="/tony-hawks-pro-skater-4/3030-2101/" data-ref-id="3030-2101">Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4</a>, Disney's Extreme Skate Adventure is a kids-focused <a href="/spin-off/3015-1100/" data-ref-id="3015-1100">spin-off</a> that features characters and locales from three animated films: <a href="/toy-story/3025-835/" data-ref-id="3025-835">Toy Story</a>, <a href="/the-lion-king/3025-1830/" data-ref-id="3025-1830">The Lion King</a>, and <a href="/tarzan/3025-2316/" data-ref-id="3025-2316">Tarzan</a>. In addition, players can <a href="/customizable-character/3015-155/" data-ref-id="3015-155">customize their own Kid Skater</a> with unlockable cosmetics and skate in a special hub world (the toony town Ollieville).</p><p>It also received a handheld version for the <a href="/game-boy-advance/3045-4/" data-ref-id="3045-4">Game Boy Advance</a>, ported by <a href="/blizzard-albany/3010-519/" data-ref-id="3010-519">Vicarious Visions</a> and using the game engine used for GBA version of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4. This version does not include Kid Skaters or Ollieville.</p><h2>Characters &amp; Locales</h2><p>The game includes three "worlds" themed after the three films (<a href="/toy-story/3025-835/" data-ref-id="3025-835">Toy Story</a>, <a href="/the-lion-king/3025-1830/" data-ref-id="3025-1830">The Lion King</a>, and <a href="/tarzan/3025-2316/" data-ref-id="3025-2316">Tarzan</a>), each with their own character selection (which can only skate on their worlds). As players complete goals in each location, they unlock new characters and <a href="/customizable-character/3015-155/" data-ref-id="3015-155">Create-A-Skater</a> parts.</p><p>In addition to the three themed environments, the game includes a bonus toony metropolitan town, known as Ollieville, which they can use their custom skater in. This level is known for its various in-game promotional <a href="/tie-in/3015-653/" data-ref-id="3015-653">tie-ins</a>, such as a mission based on McDonald's, and for its "warp doors" to each of the nine other locations (making it a <a href="/hub-world/3015-1855/" data-ref-id="3015-1855">hub world</a>).
