<h2>Overview</h2><p>Monster Maker III: Hikaru no Majutsushi ("Light of the Wizard") is a turn-based RPG from Sofel and the third game of theirs based on the Monster Maker CCG. Monster Maker is similar to <a href="/magic-the-gathering/3025-493/" data-ref-id="3025-493">Magic: The Gathering</a> and has its own persistent fantasy setting. With this third game, Sofel built a standard RPG from the setting and lore from the Monster Maker franchise.</p><p>The Super Famicom saw one more Monster Maker game from Sofel: <a href="/monster-maker-kids-ousama-ni-naritai/3030-28361/" data-ref-id="3030-28361">Monster Maker Kids</a>, which plays more like a board game. The previous two Sofel Monster Maker games were Game Boy exclusives.</p>
