What time is it? In this movie, you’ll learn how to tell time to the quarter and half hour. You’ll find out how to divide an hour into halves. Since there are sixty minutes in one hour, there are thirty minutes in a half hour. When the minute hand is halfway around the clock and the hour hand is in between two numbers, we say the time is half past the hour. You’ll also learn how there are four quarters in an hour and that a quarter is equal to fifteen minutes. At 10:15, we say it's a quarter past 10 and at 8:45, we say it's a quarter to 9.
