<h2>Overview</h2><p>F1 World Championship Edition is a racing game developed by <a href="/peakstar-software/3010-2524/" data-ref-id="3010-2524">Peakstar Software</a> and published by <a href="/domark-software-ltd/3010-1213/" data-ref-id="3010-1213">Domark Software</a> for the Amiga and Genesis platforms. It also saw a Europe-only Super Nintendo version. The game is a sequel to <a href="/f1/3030-3725/" data-ref-id="3030-3725">F1</a>, or Formula One, a 1993 racing game for Sega systems and home computers. </p><p>Depending on the version, the player is either inside the cockpit of the F1 vehicle or controlling the car from a third-person "behind the vehicle" view. Players choose a driver, customizing their name if desired, and races on Formula 1 courses around the world in either the competition or practice mode. The game procured the license to use the real names of teams and drivers.</p>
