<h2>Overview</h2><p>Hyokkori Hyoutanjima: Daitouryou wo Mezase! (roughly "Unexpected Contradiction Island: Aim to be President!") is a virtual board game similar to <a href="/the-game-of-life/3030-2340/" data-ref-id="3030-2340">The Game of Life</a> or Namco's <a href="/momotaro-dentetsu/3025-1424/" data-ref-id="3025-1424">Momotaru Dentetsu</a> series in which the goal for each participant is to build their public appeal through random chance squares in a competition to become the new President of the island. </p><p>Hyokkori Hyoutanjima: Daitouryou wo Mezase! is based on a 1960s Japanese marionette TV show, Hyokkori Hyoutanjima, about an island of eccentrics including a politician, a pirate, a gangster, and a teacher who led an expedition to the island with a group of schoolchildren. Specifically, the game is based on a brief 1991 revival of the same show.</p>
