Neurons, Animated Functional Concepts

概要

This simple, web-based tutorial was designed for entry-level students. It consists of eight chapters addressing the following topics: Neuronal Anatomy, Axonal Transport, Ions and Ion Channels, Resting Membrane Potential, Action Potential, Neurotransmitter release, Postsynaptic Mechanisms, and Removal of Neurotransmitter. Selected animations may be downloaded for teaching purposes. The tutorial was first published in MedEdPortal in 2006.
