INFINITOWN

概要

A randomly generated endless city built with WebGL. Originally inspired by city-building video games, Infinitown is an attempt to create a procedural city that feels alive and is fun to watch. We wanted to create a 3D aerial view of a colorful city. For this, we purchased some pre-existing models which matched our vision perfectly. Kudos to the folks at studio VenCreations for making these beautiful models. The idea of making the city appear "infinite" came later, and was one of the coolest things to code (spoiler: it's not really endless, but the camera makes you believe it is). We also had some fun writing car collision detection to make cars stop at intersections.
