I HATE the Caramelldansen

I hate the Caramelldansen (clarification: the dance, not so much the song). I hate it more than olives or gynecology exams. It's like some sort of horrible blight on humankind and its creators need to submit a public apology on behalf of everyone who's had the misfortune of being inundated with the avatars and deviations on their dA watch. Tracing over a cartoon isn't animation. Hell, it isn't even rotoscoping. It's tracing. It's as bad as tracing over a picture of Sonic the Hedgehog, coloring him purple, and calling him a new character, only this wastes more time. Anyone who has both a Caramelldansen animation in their gallery and uses a stamp saying "Tracing isn't art" needs to realize how ridiculously hypocritical they are. And, lemme say, all forms of the Caramelldansen are obnoxious, even if you didn't "trace" it. You still copied it, it's still stupid. This is Drake (my chara) punching his jock buddy Reily (=fyuvix's chara) in the face. However, if you have a Caramelldansen avatar or have ever animated this stupid dance, this is ME punching YOU in the face. ((EDIT 11-22-08: It appears I have offended a few people in the suggestion that I am punching them in the face. Let me clarify that I am only symbolically punching them in the face in a humorous and silly way, with no true ill-will attached to said symbolic punch.)) Oh, oh. Almost forgot all the technical jargon. Animated completely with Flash, using traditional frame-by-frame animation techniques. 24 frames per second, on 2's, though the actual punch itself is on 1's. Total is 110 frames, approximately 4.5 seconds. Unfortunately, this seems to run a little slower than I'd like. >_>
