A minimally invasive surgery that removes fat deposits from the body is known as Liposuction. Through a process known as the tumescent technique, a large amount of fluid is injected into a person’s fatty tissue which makes it “tumescent,” which means “swollen and firm.” Through this process, the fat cells are literally able to be “vacuumed” out of the body.
