Newgrounds: GLADIATORS

I've been working on this game for like less than a month so please forgive me for the clunkiness of it I'll do my best to fix it in the future with updates. The game takes huge inspiration from Mortal Kombat and Newgrounds Rumble mechanics wise , i tried to based the looks and aesthetics of it on old games like Super Smash Bros 64 and other games of that era - im a big fan of them and used to play them a lot on my PC using Project64. My game probably wont win any prize for the contest but i just wanted to contribute to the website and learn some new skills since im planning to make a lot more hopefully better games ,probably also a sequel to NG Gladiators with more content and stuff i cut from this one (like "fatalities" , minigames , more fights and stages). I think this game might get negative reviews but feel free to leave your opinions in the comments/reviews also suggestions to what should i fix or add. UPDATE 1 (21/4/23) : -fixed the problem where if you pick dad you play as alloy -improved to boss a little (will be even better later) -i will also do my best to fix the distance problem but the code i wrote doesn't seem to work properly (altough seemingly no compiler errors) UPDATE 2 (1/9/23) : -fixed the main issue with the game that being the problem of dealing damage to the boss no matter the damage -blocking now works -ui visual changes (character select screen) UPDATE 3 (26/10/23) : -added a little secret
