Rock 'n Poll

Who I am Maarten Lambrechts, a datajournalist from Belgium, sensitive to misreporting on numbers. So that is Why I've built Rock 'n Poll. I wanted to show what chance can do in polling results, without using statistical formulas. Not so easy, but this is How I did it: thinking a lot about how polling a population can look like on screen, how you can generate randomness and chance and how you can tell an interactive, stepped story. Technologies involved are (obviously) D3.js and some Material Design. Some sources of Inspiration were Explorable Explanations, Monte Carlo simulations and Alberto Cairo.
