The park is rich in wildlife with 71 mammal species, including elephant, tiger, bear, deer etc. There are also 300 species of birds, including the great hornbill. A fine way to see Khao Yai NP is a 1,5 day trip with Green leaf travel in Pakchong close to the railway station.
