Twisty Puzzle

Kuhusu

Goal: The goal of the game is to align all 18 clock faces to 12 o'clock - 9 on each side of the puzzle. In order to qualify for the HALL OF FAME, you must either complete the game in the least amount of seconds or the least amount of moves. If you qualify, your initials will appear with the winning time/moves until the someone else comes along and bumps you off the list. Good luck! Rules: 1. Clock faces will turn based on the conformation of the pegs (up or down, how many up or down, which orientation pattern) and the corner you choose to turn. 2. The game is solved when all 9 faces on the light side and 9 faces on the dark side are aligned to 12 o'clock. 3. Rotation will move through one hour's rotation, or 30 degrees. 4. You can reset the clock to a solved state and practice, if you'd like, by clicking the 'Reset' button. However, HALL OF FAME SCORES will NOT be saved unless you start from a random orientation using the 'Start' button. How to Play: 1. Turn the four corners of the puzzle clockwise or counterclockwise, and push the four center pegs in and out to control the way the clock puzzle behaves. 2. The first corner you turn will start the clock and the counter for the number of rotational and peg moves. This will form your score for the Hall of Fame when you complete the puzzle. 3. Once you've solved one side of the puzzle, flip it over and try to solve the other side. You will find that changes you make to the light side will affect the dark side as well, but not the way you might immediately expect. 4. To flip the clock from 'light' side to 'dark' side, click the 'Flip Clock' button. 5. To give up and start over, click on the 'Start' button. 6. To practice from a solved state to learn how the clock's inner mechanisms move, click the 'Reset' button to reset the clock to a completed state. Your score/time will not be logged if you start from the 'Reset' state. Difficulty Modes: There is only one brain-twisting mode here: Hard. If you want to make it easier, try only solving one side at a time. Once you learn how to solve one side, you can solve the other side... but can you solve BOTH at the same time? Warning: Hard mode is recommended only for hardcore puzzlers! The web master takes no responsibility for signs of brain strain, which may be caused by playing this puzzle.
