Step 1 The Drain Game Your flashlight’s battery slowly drains with regular use, so always be on the lookout for Pokémon. Spotlighting a Pokémon that isn’t a Ghost type gives a small boost to your energy meter. Step 2 A G-G-Ghost Type! Shining the light on Ghost-type Pokémon quickly drains your battery power. If you accidentally do this, you’ll hear a spooky musical sting. Quickly move your light away to avoid draining too much energy. Step 3 Seeing in the Dark Although the woods are dark and deep, they aren’t pitch black. If you look very closely, you should be able to make out faint shapes of Pokémon when they appear. Use this as a hint to avoid Ghost-type Pokémon. Step 4 Hair-Raising High Scores The sooner you illuminate a Pokémon that isn’t a Ghost type, the more points you’re able to earn. React quickly to max out your points. And keep an eye out for candy, which grants bonus points!
