You'll learn about the different layers of soil, including topsoil, subsoil, and bedrock, and how we depend on soil to grow crops. You'll explore how rich, dark soil has a lot of humus and can hold water well, while sandy soil is loose, dry, and drains water. Clay soil is red and it can hold a lot of water.
