It reloads automatically, but if your weapon reaches a critical heat level, it will be unusable for a while. Look on the left side of the hud to see it. The ennemies will also try to shoot you. On the right side of the hud you’ll see you shield level. If it’s down to zero percent, you’ll lose health points that cannot be regenerated.
