If this affects you, open the menu (ESC or X key), select Options and turn off the Lighting Effects. If your game doesn’t lag, please don’t turn the lighting effects off, because it will spoil some puzzles and a few things in the game won’t make sense. The northern lowlands are governed by the Order. The Order states that all people are one large family and children belong to the whole society.
